Amendments to Chapter 25 entitled “Traffic” Article I, Section 25-9 regarding Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles regarding accumulative parking citations and violations for parking in disable parking spaces are proposed to be revised.

 

Description of Action

In summary, the proposed amendments include:

 

The transition from “meter-only” parking at the beach to include “pay-by-phone” and “E-ticketing”, as approved by the City Commission, requires certain code amendments.  The proposed code amendments include: the use of E-ticketing and a City Parking Magistrate, and revisions to the fine payment grace period and the late fee amount.  It is anticipated that the pay-by-phone and E-ticketing services will be implemented in August/September.
